Installing large diameter pipe and access units

Challenge

Fitting and installing large diameter pipes and manholes within a limited footprint and constrained work area.

Solution

To optimise use of the limited available space, Aquaspira 1500mmØ pipes and access units were utilised to ensure the necessary storage capacity could be contained within the available space.

Outcome

The Outside Diameter of the 1500mm pipe and access units was less than 1600mm, enabling the pipeline and access units to be efficiently installed within a trench less than 2m wide.

A major challenge on this site was fitting the 1500mmØ pipe and associate manhole between an existing building and the site boundary. The combination of Aquaspira pipe and especially the prefabricated Access Units overcame all of the potential issues in the constrained area, and also accelerated the installation by several days
